Points regarding the application requirements

Q 1 Are applications to the contest restricted in any way?
A 1 Anyone can submit an application, regardless of nationality, age or gender. The contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers. However, people who work for Kenko Tokina Co.,Ltd. and its affiliates are not eligible. We ask people aged under 18 to obtain the approval of their parent or guardian.
Q 2 How much does it cost to enter a photo in the contest?
A 2 Entry in the contest is free. However, we ask applicants to bear other expenses, including the postage and Internet connection fees required for submitting an application.
Q 3 How many photos can each applicant enter?
A 3 There is no restriction on the number of entries per applicant.
Q 4 What are the themes for the photographs?
A 4 Applicants can choose their themes without restriction, as long as filters were effectively used in taking the photos.
All filter types and manufacturers are acceptable. However, filters such as protectors, whose filter effects cannot be seen on works, are not permitted.
Q 5 Do the photos have to have been taken using Kenko filters?
A 5 No, they don’t. There is no restriction concerning the filter manufacturers.
Q 6 I heard that only unreleased and unpublished photos are eligible. What about photos published online?
A 6 Applicants can enter photos stored in private online albums and photos published via websites that private individuals operate for nonprofit purposes.
Q 7 Do you acknowledge that each entry has been accepted?
A 7 Yes. After the entry is accepted, a reception message will be sent to your registered e-mail address.

Q 8 Where can I find detailed information about the application procedure?
A 8 This information is included in the Application Form available online. Please follow the procedures indicated and fill out the form with the information requested. The procedures request applicants to provide personal information such as their name and information about their photo, including the title before uploading the image data. We request that you carefully read the application requirements before submitting your application.
Q 9 Are the file formats and file sizes for the image data fixed?
A 9 The file format for image data must be JPEG. Files must be 5MB or less in size per entry. If the files are larger than 5MB in size, please compress them.
Q 10 Can I send my entries directly to Kenko Tokina Co.,Ltd.. or StudioGraphics by e-mail?
A 10 Data transmissions to places other than this website are not permitted. Data transmitted to the wrong place will not be accepted and no notification will be given. We request that you take care in this regard.
Q 11 What happens is the application form is incomplete?
A 11 The application form is not transmitted unless all required information is supplied. Fields that have not been filled in are highlighted on the monitor. Please supply all the requested information.
Q 12 What happens when data is lost due to a problem in the course of data transmission?
A 12 The sponsor and the partner company are not liable for such data loss. Please be sure to back up and store the relevant data before transmitting the data for entry.
Q 13 Can I use storage media such as a CD-R to enter my photo?
A 13 No, you can’t use such media to submit your photo. Entries are accepted only via the Internet only.
Q 14 I can’t upload my image data. What is wrong?
